Swiss lathes is a new type of precision manufacturing CNC machine. These CNC Swiss-type machines are capable of producing extremely precise parts accurately and continuously.
Swiss lathes can be turned and moved back and forth. Thanks to the greater freedom of movement in the Z-axis, it is able to handle details that other machines cannot manage. These functions also allow them to perform different tasks for efficient operation.
The most common use of it is as a Swiss screw machine. In recent years, it has also become capable of producing components without surfaces turned.

High Precision Mode increases stability by minimizing vibration caused by high-speed motion of the tool block. Smoother motion is achieved by reducing acceleration and deceleration of the axis motor. Less vibration and less shaft wobble motion allows one tool to machine mirror surfaces while another tool is used to perform rougher operations, such as threading.
Another benefit of the abilities of the Swiss-style lathe is that they have the abilities to turn the small-diameter parts. Alternatively they can turn parts that have a larger length-to-diameter ratio. Chatter of tools is also minimized due to the guide or tool bushing juxtaposition.
